Scania DI12 Marine Auxiliary Engine Rebuild

Scania DI12 Marine Auxiliary Engine Rebuild
East Coast Diesel (Scania Marine Dealers) based in Great Yarmouth have completed the full rebuild on this Scania DI12 Marine Auxiliary engine.

After initial strip down and finding issues with the crankshaft the surveyor insisted on a replacement to be ordered and fitted to meet classification requirements.

The engine was removed from the vessel and taken to our workshop in Great Yarmouth where the completion of the build was undertaken using all genuine Scania spares.

The engine was rebuilt within record time to meet the deadlines of our client’s vessel movements and other maintenance schedules that had already been planned.

The engine will now be installed back into the vessel and overlooked by the surveyor. Once this has been completed the engine will be run up to working speed and temperature and a full load test achieved.

On speaking to our client they have expressed their gratitude to the professionalism and flexibility shown by our engineers to work within the timescale to reduce downtime and get the vessel back to sea.

East Coast Diesel’s reputation is only as good as our client’s experience when they utilise our services and we aim to provide the best service in the industry.
